The Queen candidates represent the tradition and culture of every Mexican state. Contestants must be high school seniors planning to attend an accredited institution of higher learning or currently enrolled in an institution of higher learning.
 
Contestants must be ages 17 through 25.The new queen receives a $1500 scholarship, First runner-up receives a $1000 scholarship, and the Second runner-up receives a $500 scholarship.
